They have a great deal of scout's eye knowledge on players, but demonstrate little to no understanding of teams to which they project said players. Example: NFLDraftDog.com has Beanie Wells to the Colts. Highly unlikely, since Wells hasn't proven himself to be a pass-catching back and likely rubs the character-conscious Colts the wrong way with his unwillingness to fight for yards at the end of the play.
I think the only talent likely to be available and yet worthy of the Colts' first round pick will come in the form of one of the following:
Peria Jerry
Knowshon Moreno
Jeremy Maclin
Malcolm Jenkins
Clay Matthews
Ron Brace
Ebon Britton
Robert Ayers
Alphonso Smith
Hakeem Nicks
Evander Hood's the consensus pick at the moment, but I don't think the guy has the technical skill to properly exploit his athleticism. He's aware enough to know it must improve, and he's highly valued for his intangibles, but Ron Brace seems to me to be the guy most likely to give the Colts something they can't get elsewhere, that is, an over tackle with the ability to penetrate and tie up lead blockers. Thought I should get it up here in order to more legitimately take credit for it later. I like Ron Brace to go to the Colts at 27, provided he's not already off the board.
